Just threw this all in the pan I cooked two steaks in and it worked. I had no brandy but it was delicious anyway. Hurrah!
Ingredients
50ml boiling water
75ml beef stock
Two tbsp red wine
One tbsp dijon mustard
One tbsp worcestershire sauce
Two tbsp double cream
How to
1. After you’ve cooked the steaks and removed them to a plate to rest, pour the boiling water into the pan on the hob, using a spoon to work all the tasty crusty bits into the water.
2. Add the stock, dijon and worcestershire and mix well. Bring to the boil and simmer until it reduces.
3. When it has reduced, stir in the cream, season and serve.
